For a detailed description of what you can expect when you come to see me for counselling, please read this blog post – there’s even a picture of my practice room. 😊

Counselling is a process that’s as individual as you, so your needs and preferences determine how often we meet. Most clients will start coming weekly, and as they are feeling better, we space out the sessions to fortnightly, or longer. You are in control at all times – after all, you are the expert on yourself!

Nurture Our Nature provides counselling services. While I offer therapy and can help you with many mental health issues, if you need assessment or diagnosis, I recommend consulting a psychologist.

While both psychologists and counsellors are mental health professionals offering talk therapy, there are differences in their approach. Psychologists diagnose mental illnesses and disorders, and they can write psychological assessments. As a counsellor I don’t diagnose my clients, nor do I assess them. I believe that each client is the expert on their own life, and I offer my training and experience to support them with talk therapy, as well as suitable strategies for calming the mind and body, such as breathwork, mindfulness training, EFT Tapping, Lifestyle Coaching and other somatic and integrative therapies.
